Who Are We?
Ursuline High School, Wimbledon, is an OFSTED outstanding, voluntary-aided, comprehensive high school for Roman Catholic girls from 11-18 under the Trusteeship of the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark.
Merton schools are top in England for Progress 8, the Ursuline has been in the top 5% for 4 years and has a tradition of academic excellence, addressing individual needs and service in the spirit of St Angela. The curriculum equips girls with skills for the modern, global world and develops them as independent and critical learners and confident communicators.
We have a flourishing Sixth Form in partnership with Wimbledon College, where we prepare students for independent learning at their chosen university, further education, apprenticeship or training. Students sustain outstanding progress from GCSE to A Level achieving the highest standards at ‘A’ Level and all Post 16 qualifications, with many accepting places at Russell Group and Sutton Trust universities.
The Psychology Department is a consistently evolving department in the school and one that is united by a strong and supportive team spirit. Staff are all experienced and have an excellent work ethic. The Department is well resourced with excellent facilities and is committed to the continuous improvement of resources and to the development of staff skills through CPD sessions, in order to maintain the outstanding levels of teaching and learning in Psychology.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and proven teacher to move to leading our Psychology Department forward.
Purpose: To lead the Key Stage to excellence in teaching and learning
Responsibility for student outcomes at: KS4 & 5
Line Manager: Head of Faculty
Line Management of: Psychology
Performance Management of: Up to 2 staff
