Colston’s is a thriving co-educational day school on the outskirts of Bristol. We are easily accessible from the motorway network and with approximately 750 students aged from 3 to 18. The Upper School occupies a glorious thirty acre campus and has all of its facilities on-site.
We require a well-qualified, talented and enthusiastic individual to establish and lead our Religious Studies department. This post is to cover maternity leave and is therefore offered on a temporary contract that is expected to run from 24th February 2020 for one year.
The successful applicant will be an excellent teacher, a great communicator and able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the new GCSE and Ethics A level qualifications. In addition, they will value the opportunity to develop their management skills in this important role at Colston’s. This role will require energy, determination, the ability to work in and lead a team and, no doubt, a sense of humour. The Head of Department will report to the Head of Faculty.
