Job overview

(A suitable job share opportunity will be considered)

Grestone Academy is a 3 - 11 primary school with 680 students on role.

Grestone Academy has embarked on its school improvement journey and in June 2015 was judged a 'RI' academy, a step up from its previous 'Special Measures' judgement. The academy are very proud of the achievements they have made in a short amount of time and are now seeking to employ a visionary and passionate Head of School to continue the journey of improvement.

The post will offer a unique opportunity to work in an exciting partnership with the Executive Principal of Hamstead Hall Academy to further raise standards across all key stages.

The Directors are looking to appoint an ambitious Head of School with the experience and confidence to deliver on school improvement.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Provide strong, focused and professional leadership
  • Promote excellent standards of teaching
  • Ensure a continued rise in academic achievement
  • Develop an innovative and inspiring curriculum
  • Uphold the inclusive principles that are integral to our ethos.

This post will suit an experienced Headteacher/Head of School looking for exciting new challenges or exceptional deputies who are ready for headship. You will need to provide evidence of an outstanding 'track record' to date. You will need to be a child centred leader who would relish the opportunity to collaborate with our aspirational families.

We recommend that you visit the academy to meet the Executive Principal and gain a full understanding of the academy's context. For further details and application form contact Pam Mole on 0121 386 7510 or email: molep@hamsteadhall.com
