The Board of Directors is seeking to appoint a Head of School with a clear vision of British education. The ideal candidate will be an existing Head, or Deputy Head with significant leadership experience in a successful school. A developed understanding of education, cultural and linguistic awareness, and a passion for teaching and learning. 

The English School is an international school of British tradition, which embraces and capitalizes on intercultural learning, inclusion and differentiation. The English School is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme, IB Middle Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme. 

The English School offers education for students from 2 years old until 18 years old. We are committed to fulfilling our mission statement “The English Way”, actively upholding our core values of respect, trust, and integrity through the IB learning profile. All our values are embedded in the IB learner profile.

The English School-TES opened its doors in 1961 and has a long history of innovation, being one of the first International Baccalaureate schools in Bogota. Fifty-seven years later TES has 1,696 students and 398 members of teaching and administrative staff, representing 21 nationalities. Set in a 15-acre campus, The English School is a thriving and popular school with an excellent reputation in Bogota and worldwide. Activities include a wide range of sports, technology and laboratory facilities. 

Students take an active role in community services by participating in fundraising activities, sports and the arts. Students also partake in international service trips as well as leadership activities such as the Model United Nations, for which the school has developed a reputation as offering a high standard of debate.

Salary and Benefits

  • Initial two year contract, renewable by mutual consent 
  • A competitive salary according to experience and qualifications
  • Benefits include: Housing allowance, health and life insurance, food allowance, telephone allowance and performance bonus.
