A renowned Montreal institution dedicated to excellence in girls' education, Miss Edgar’s and Miss Cramp’s School (ECS) is in search of a new Head of School to lead a mission where every girl is known and prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. An independent English-language day school for 300 students from Kindergarten to Grade 11, ECS was founded in 1909 by two trailblazers for girls’ education. The new Head of School will propel ECS to the forefront of academic and social excellence by activating entrepreneurial values and revealing the unique character and potential of each girl.

ECS brings learning to life through its signature Entrepreneurial Platform (EP). The EP integrates subject learning with problem solving, allowing space for curiosity and creativity and the development of critical thinking. Industry partnerships present real world challenges, ensuring that ECS girls dream big and become the entrepreneurs of their own futures.

A bilingual leader with outstanding communication skills, the ideal candidate has the talent, ambition, and empathy to magnify the School's strengths and achieve its goals. The new Head will empower staff and faculty to lead, make decisions, and respond quickly to the changing landscape. Candidates must be enthusiastic, strategically minded, and comfortable navigating complex change. Above all else, the new Head will be the moral compass of the School, articulating and modelling the values and incredible character that is the ECS girl. Dedicated to the empowerment of girls and young women, the new Head will be an engaging leader ready to move mountains.
