HCUC is a merger between Harrow College and Uxbridge College. 


The School of Health & Social Care, Early Years and Construction offers a range of courses at Levels 1 to 5.  We are now seeking to appoint a Head of School to build on our success.  


Leading a Health and Social care team with recently opened state of the art facilities, and a Construction team based in newly appointed buildings, this is an exciting opportunity to work at the third highest performing 16-18 college in London. You will lead a team of two Section Managers (one in each of Health and Social Care/Early Years and Construction), one Course Team Leader in Construction and teams of full and part-time Lecturers.  You will be responsible for the full range of provision on full and part time courses, including managing the quality of the provision and maintaining its high qualification achievement rates, alongside managing the developing commercial portfolio. 


Qualified to degree level in a subject related to the School’s scope of curriculum, preferably Health and Social Care, with an advanced level teaching qualification, you should possess 3 years’ teaching experience in Further Education, have a good understanding of awarding body regulations and curriculum development.   You should have a range of management skills including good planning and organising abilities, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate the team to enhance the School’s success.
