THIS OPPORTUNITY

Belmore Primary Academy is one of the highest performing primary schools in Hillingdon.

We are a 3-form entry school looking to recruit a dynamic Head who is ambitious, nurturing and motivated. Belmore has gathered upward momentum over the last few years and performed exceptionally well across all Key Stages. This is thanks to the dedicated team of staff, to the diverse, hard-working group of children, to the unwavering support of the Middlesex Learning Partnership and to the legacy of the current Head, who leaves us in order to retire this year. There is a strong sense of purpose and belief that runs throughout Belmore and it is essential that the new Head embodies this spirit.

Closing the gap for disadvantaged children is an area in which Belmore excels. We have been officially named as a “School for Success” by the Mayor of London for the last four years in a row.

Our teaching and learning environment is one in which individuals are taught to demand the highest standard of achievement from themselves and those around them. This drive for excellence is underpinned by a culture of kindness, resilience, collaboration, accountability and inclusivity.

The successful candidate will have an appetite for innovation and be driven to lead the school in furthering academic achievement, as well as in cultivating the healthy relationships we share within our community.

The new Head of School - reporting to the MLP Executive Head/CEO - will take full responsibility and accountability for;

• School Development Planning

• Teaching and Learning

• Curriculum and Assessment

• Staff and Resource Allocation

• Behaviour and Attitudes

• Personal Development and Safeguarding of Pupils

Despite the challenges we face, Belmore has ambitions of becoming an Outstanding school. With this in mind it is critical that the new Head of School possess a strong vision for the future, as well as a proven ability to facilitate progress, to organise, to harmonise teams and to shine when meeting challenges with preparedness, adaptability and integrity.

About Belmore Primary Academy

At Belmore Primary Academy we aim to build a better future for all through the transformational power of education and learning because we believe education is where true and lasting value is created.

We know that every member of the school community can positively impact change and support in making this vision a reality. That belief in being a positive force for meaningful change is the most powerful tool we can hope to provide our children. Whether that is to change their own lives, the lives of others or the lives of many of us.

Our school is a safe, happy and inclusive community that celebrates the efforts and achievements of every child and every member of staff.

All children experience an engaging and exciting curriculum offer that meets the needs of the children the school serves. Children acquire and retain new knowledge, develop and learn new skills and explore learning through investigative, ethical and moral questioning.

The curriculum is underpinned by our commitment to personal development as learners and our core values and ethos that are celebrated throughout the school environment.

We are committed to the professional learning of all of our staff and aim to ensure that they have the most up to date knowledge, tools and skills to ensure we can offer our children a transformative education.

As a school we aim to help ensure that everyone is prepared for the next steps on their journey and that when the time comes, they are ready to build the future for themselves and others and celebrate in the transformational power of education and learning.

Our website, www.belmore.school, offers you a chance to explore some of the wonderful opportunities children, families and staff at Belmore get to experience.
