Head of School

The Governors of the Lansdowne Turney Federation are seeking to appoint an outstanding leader as Head of School for Lansdowne School.  

Lansdowne is a secondary school for students with autism and associated learning needs, including speech and language delay and disorder from KS3-4, with post 16 provision from September 2016. The school is moving from its current building to a purpose designed new school for young people with autism and speech and language delay/disorder in the summer term 2016

The successful candidate will:

• Be an outstanding practitioner with a successful track record of understanding and meeting the needs of children and young people with autism.
• Have high expectations for young people with an SEN and a strong commitment to school improvement.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to delegate.
• Have the ability to lead and manage the school on a day to day basis.
• Be willing to contribute to the common goals of the Federation comprising two schools.
• Have the ability to support and develop effective teaching and learning across the school and Federation.
