The Alice Smith School is a leading British international school in Asia and the oldest not-for-profit British international school in Kuala Lumpur. Established in 1946 and set on two stunning campuses, Alice Smith has a reputation for providing an outstanding education to nearly 1,500 students aged 3 to 18 representing over 40 nationalities. The School is non-selective and an innovative role model in promoting high quality educational practices.
Alice Smith’s vision statement is to lead the pursuit of excellence in learning through nurturing, inspiring and enriching the lives and characters of young people. The Council of Governors now seeks an inspirational Head of School to assume the post in August 2022 to succeed Roger Schultz who will retire after twelve years of outstanding service. His successor will inherit a thriving community that looks to its future with considerable confidence and ambition. The successful candidate will be an exceptional leader with the vision to inspire the Alice Smith community, and the leadership and management skills to lead the School to even greater success. Blending first class communication abilities with strong organisational leadership skills and well developed commercial instincts, the next Head of School will be a compelling ambassador for Alice Smith on a local, national and global stage. A track record of highly successful school leadership, ideally gained in the international sector, proven strengths in developing high performing teams, and the emotional intelligence to lead and manage organisational development are essential, as is an authentic commitment to the mission and vision of The Alice Smith School.

The school is a founding member of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and a long standing member of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS).
