Job overview

We know that all job searches start with a search of the school Ofsted reports!   But we all know that a school is so much more than this!

Featherby Partnership of Schools is a partnership of two values-led community schools - Featherby Infant & Nursery and Featherby Junior Schools.  It is a highly motivated environment where everyone loves learning and being the best we can be.  We are a happy, ambitious and inclusive school, reflecting the richness of our community.  It is our mission to empower our schools with the means to drive ever greater and more enjoyable outcomes for children, and we do this in partnership with schools in Greenwich, Bexley, Kent and Medway, as part of the Maritime Academy Trust.

We are excited to be able to advertise this fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior leader to join our dynamic leadership team from September 2022.

As a Maritime Head of School you will work with the Executive Headteacher to lead the Featherby Partnership of Schools initially for at least one year to cover maternity leave, after this you may be deployed at a different school in the Trust, depending on need.

Our leaders build on their passion for providing our children with the very best learning experiences.  They are inspiring, engaging and committed and therefore our next Head of school will combine an academic ambition with a commitment to inclusion whilst bringing the wisdom to balance change with continuity and consolidation where all members of the school community can flourish.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced school leader who is looking to move to the next stage in their leadership career.  If you are an experienced Deputy Headteacher looking for your first Head of School post, you will get the support and direction from an experienced Executive Headteacher, Medway Network of schools and Trust Education team to help give you the best start possible.

We are interested to hear from inspirational senior leaders who are motivated, share our vision, and who are committed to the ethos and success of The Featherby Partnership.  As a school leader, you should have the knowledge, skills and leadership qualities to inspire not just staff, but our pupils and parents.
