There are exciting times ahead for The Farnborough Academy in Clifton, Nottingham as we seek an inspirational Head of School to lead the academy through the next phase of its development.
The academy opened in September 2014 and officially became part of the Trent Academies Group in January 2015. Significant improvements have already been realised and we are proud of how rapidly the quality of teaching and the behaviour of pupils has developed. We are now seeing an academy emerging that the whole community can be very proud of.
The Academy is part of the Trent Academies Group which consists of Rushcliffe School, an outstanding academy, Arnold Hill Academy, rapidly improving and Farnborough Academy, now seeking a new Head of School.
Trent Academies Group is looking to work in collaboration with another like-minded trust to give our staff the opportunity to broaden their range of skills and experience and bring benefits to our pupils and the whole education system. This will mean that the new Head of School appointed at Farnborough Academy will be part of a wider, dedicated and forward-thinking group of senior leaders. They will work with the Executive Headteacher and the SLT to provide inspirational leadership to drive the academy forward.
We offer the opportunity for the successful candidate to develop as a highly effective leader who will aspire to higher leadership positions.
The successful candidate will
- have leadership experience, vision and ambition coupled with strong management and communication skills to motivate staff, pupils and the community
- strive to secure rapid and sustainable improvement by building capacity in teaching, leadership and support at all levels
- have the desire and ability to achieve challenging targets for high standards of behaviour, progress and attainment across and beyond the academy
Most of all they will have the desire to be part of a Multi-Academy Trust committed to making a difference to communities on a local level by improving the life chances of all their young people.

Farnborough Spencer Academy launched on 1st September 2014 and officially converted to being part of the Spencer Academies Trust from 1st October 2018.The academy provides the young people of Clifton and the surrounding areas with wide ranging opportunities.
