Job overview

HEAD OF SCHOOL (PRIMARY)

BOBBY MOORE ACADEMY
QUEEN ELIZABETH OLYMPIC PARK, STRATFORD, LONDON

£COMPETITIVE

The Bobby Moore Academy offers a world-class education for the children of East London. With an iconic integrated 4-18 site adjacent to the Olympic Stadium, we opened the doors to our very first cohort of Year 7 students in September 2017.

The primary school will welcome its first Reception children in September 2018, and we will eventually educate 420 children aged 4 - 11. With outstanding facilities for learning, growth and creativity, we’re focusing on laying great foundations for the future.

We’re looking for a school leader with proven and comprehensive experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Primary Phase, including transition between Key Stages. The strongest candidates will bring a firm grasp of developing a broad curriculum, understand the importance of dynamic and effective Assessment for Learning, and have the analytical ability to embed a productive and appreciative awareness of progress made by each individual child.

Your approach to inspiring and engaging staff will also be positive, creative and focused on fostering continual professional development. We know that Bobby Moore Academy will develop a high profile locally, and you’ll act as an exemplar of how the school can make a meaningful and sustained contribution to children, families, partners and the wider community. Most of all, you’ll be genuinely inspired by the chance to put your whole professional repertoire to work in a setting that’s been carefully designed and resourced to be among the best of its kind in London.
