Job overview

Foxborough Primary School is an extremely diverse, multi-cultural mixed Primary School catering for children aged 3 to 11 years with 400 pupils on roll.

The school became member of the Upton Court Educational Trust, a multi-academy Trust (MAT) in January 2014, and the Trust and the Executive Headteacher are seeking to appoint a Head of School who will continue to move the school forward and put us back on track to Outstanding.

The successful applicant will possess excellent management, leadership and communication skills and will help Foxborough to become the primary school of choice for the local community.

The Trustees are seeking candidates with:

  • An unrelenting drive to raise standards
  • A clear, consistent focus on Teaching and Learning
  • A track record of supporting and developing outstanding teaching

As a confident, innovative and organised individual, the Head of School will be able to maintain good relationships with the Trust schools, the entire school community and participate fully in the life of the school.

The school is changing rapidly, in many ways. This will doubtless continue as the needs of society and our context change too. It is never dull, often challenging, demanding in the best possible way - an exciting and extraordinarily worth-while and fulfilling place to be.

Applications should be sent to: Mercedes Hernández Estrada, Executive Principal to the Trust, c/o Upton Court Grammar School, Lascelles Road, Upton, Berkshire, SL3 7PR or blynn@uptoncourtgrammar.org.uk

Closing date for applications: Midday Monday 29th February 2016
Interviews to be held: week commencing 29th February or 7th March 2016

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. This post is subject to satisfactory references, Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check (previously CRB check), and evidence of essential qualifications and proof of legal working in accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996.
