Head of School

Tes Schools RecruitmentSurrey

Head of School (accommodation available on-site).

Competitive remuneration and ongoing progression. Suited to an experienced Deputy Headteacher, current Head of School, or a senior leader with turnaround experience.

Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive 9 - 16 SEMH academy, based in Surrey. The school is looking to add a Head of School to their progressive and supportive Academy ideally starting in September 2021.

As Head of School, you will lead by example. You will have strategic oversight over the day-to-day operations at the school and will lead, making improvements to ensure the best outcome for the school's pupils and bridging the gap. The school is well on its ways to Good and requires a senior leader to lead with incremental improvements to ensure at least a 'Good' rating in its next Ofsted visit.

“The academy is a special school for young people all of whom have an EHCP identifying social, emotional and mental health difficulties as their primary need.  The academy is part of a large family of schools brought together by one common vision and passionate belief that each and every child can lead a remarkable life. An excellent education transforms lives and every pupil who attends one of our schools is given the support, care and opportunity they need to flourish. Whether you are an experienced Head of School seeking a new challenge or a senior leader working towards your first headship, this is a unique and exciting  opportunity to take our School forward.  Which is where you come in!

The Academy is situated in Chobham, Surrey and draws pupils from a range of backgrounds, both urban and rural, across Surrey and also neighbouring LEAs.

Our academy is on a journey of improvement.  Under its current executive and interim leadership the academy has moved forward and green shoots are starting to show but there is still work to do. We are looking for an experienced leader who can build on the good work completed so far.  You will have a passion for school improvement and be able to lead and support a creative approach to learning.  If you are driven, resilient and relish a challenge this is the right opportunity for you.

This is an excellent opportunity for a leader looking to combine the experience of running a school with the benefit of working as part of a national trust. You will be joining the leading inclusive educational trust in the country - one where you have more opportunities to forge your own path, where your work is truly valued and where you will receive the recognition and rewards to motivate you to build on your achievements.”

The school is offering:
