The Science department at St. Benedict's has enjoyed excellent and consistent examination success in recent years at GCSE and in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB). Consequently, it has a high profile within the school and the wider community. At St Benedict’s we value our teachers for their creativity, individuality, imagination and flair.
We are looking to appoint on a full time basis an enthusiastic practitioner of Science who will be required to lead a dedicated team of specialist teaching staff across all three disciplines – Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The philosophy of the department stresses the need for each member to be part of a team; decisions are reached collectively and policy and materials are developed collaboratively. We enjoy very positive and encouraging working relationships.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an amazing team located in a semi-rural South Warwickshire school with 748 pupils aged 11-18 years. The students at St Benedict's are motivated, thirsty for knowledge and job satisfaction is high. The school has a strong partnership between parents, teachers and students. If you enjoy teaching all abilities of students who want to learn, then this is the right school for you. Informal visits to see the department in action are welcome and encouraged, please contact the school to arrange this.
