The Derby High School (Science & Arts College) in Bury, Greater Manchester, is seeking to appoint a Head of Science. Science is an extremely popular subject in the school and through our Science College status we have developed extensive links that enable us to provide many varied and interesting experiences for our students. Results within the department are always amongst the highest in the school for progress and attainment at Grade 8 and 9 is impressive. This role is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teacher and leader who wants to work in a school that recognises the value of Science and is passionately committed to further developing the quality of teaching and learning in this subject.

The Derby High School is an over-subscribed 11-16 Co-Educational School situated in the heart of Bury, Greater Manchester. Year on year our students make exceptional progress and we are currently the highest performing school in Bury for Progress 8. We are an inclusive school serving a diverse student population who are a joy to be around. The leadership of the school at every level is a key strength and this was recognised by Ofsted in 2014 and again in our most recent inspection in March 2018.
