Head of Science, Computer Technology and Engineering Lecturers

At West Suffolk College, based in Bury St Edmunds, we are expanding into a brand new STEM centre. With this comes a great opportunity for innovative and engaging lecturers to join our team. We are looking for Lecturers in Computing, in Engineering and also for a Head of Science.   

Lecturer in Computing: Our Computing curriculum is constantly developing and expanding to meet the needs of employers and to supply the technology workforce of the future. You can play a key role in developing our new subjects to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of IT. A degree in IT/Computing or related subject with qualifications in Cisco would be essential for the Lecturer in Computing position. The successful candidate would teach a range of programmes from level 2 through to level 6.   

Lecturer in Engineering: We are looking for inspiring and dynamic Mechanical, Electrical Electronic and Mechatronic Engineering Lecturers with hands-on experience of working as Engineers to teach students on a range of engineering courses including degrees. Ideally candidates will have knowledge of PLCs, microprocessors, quality management systems, LEAN and change management and can also teach from level 2 to level 6.  

Head of Science: We are looking for a leader with real drive and ambition to create an outstanding Science provision and you will have full backing and support to make this happen. This is a role with huge development potential for the right person. We pride ourselves on our passion and ambition to build the leading Science provision in the area and you will be spearheading this as our Head of Science, instrumental in the design of our new facility.
