For our Secondary School we are seeking a capable and committed Science Teacher, who would be willing and able to lead the school’s Science department. Applicants must be qualified teachers with at least two years’ experience.
Candidates must have expertise in teaching Science across the age and ability range in Grades 5 – 12 and be passionate to raise the profile of this subject at the school. The ideal candidate is experienced in teaching Combined Science to IGCSE and Physics in the IB Diploma Programme. Candidates with appropriate experience may also be considered for the additional roles of IB DP and / or IGCSE coordinator.
You have
a teaching qualification in Secondary Education
the ability to teach Combined Science from Grades 5-10
the ability to teach Physics in the IB Diploma Programme
the capability to lead the Science department
a native level command of English
the commitment to teaching students whose first language may not be English
strong IT skills in order to fully utilise our well-equipped and modern school environment
open-mindedness, flexibility and the ability to work well in a team

planning and teaching motivating lessons
focusing on student learning and development, differentiating and supporting as required
teaching heterogeneous groups (e.g. students with different linguistic backgrounds)

Who we are
Welcome to accadis International School, a family-run, non-profit educational institution, at SÜDCAMPUS Bad Homburg, close to the international metropolis of Frankfurt am Main. Under the umbrella of accadis Bildung GmbH, we offer a holistic educational concept that is unique in Germany, from early steps in the Kindergarten all the way to PhD studies at our own accadis Hochschule (University of Applied Sciences). At the co-educational accadis International School, students learn bilingually, some subjects are taught in English and others in German. accadis ISB is an official IB World School since January 2016 and accredited by Cambridge International Education for the two-year IGCSE courses taught in Grades 9 and 10.
Our students
The school provides a supportive and challenging environment where students are encouraged to become responsible and independent learners. accadis ISB caters for a wide range of students and is both a “local” school for families who live nearby and an international school for students who come to us from all over the world. We currently welcome approximately 550 students from 5 – 18 years of age in our Elementary and Secondary Schools as well as 125 children in our Bilingual Preschool, representing over 50 nationalities.
Our school
accadis ISB was founded in 2004 and is situated on a modern campus featuring its own sports hall with outdoor basketball court. Having added spaces and facilities gradually over the years to cater for the ever-increasing demand, including an inviting library, two Art rooms and a Music room for the Elementary School, we opened a new building exclusively for our Secondary School students in early 2023. It features more than 20 new classrooms, additional specialist spaces for Science, Art, Music and Drama as well as two libraries and a cafeteria. The new auditorium for up to 250 people is greatly appreciated and utilised by all parts of our organisation. The school focuses strongly on technology. The state-of-the-art learning environment includes interactive whiteboards in each classroom, Google Chromebook laptops, school-wide high-speed Wi-Fi and a 3D printer.
