The role

Kensington Prep School is looking for an experienced teacher to lead our vibrant science department on a part time basis.

As Head of Science, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the department, including management of the department's physical space, financial budgets and development of your colleagues. 

You will articulate a clear vision for the future of science and STEM at the school, as well as develop and implement a strategy to realise this vision, ensuring that excellent teaching and learning continues to be delivered across the department. 

In addition to your departmental responsibilities, you will also teach science across the KS2 age and ability range, ensuring the best possible academic outcomes for your students. 

About you

You will be an inspirational educator, with a proven track record as a Head of Department and/or practical experience of procuring materials and running a budget. Excellent organisation, communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this role, along with the ability to work as part of a team and independently, taking personal responsibility for your work.

About Kensington Prep School

Kensington Prep School is a buzzy Independent Day School for girls aged 4-11.  It opened in 1873, the first school to be established in the Girl’s Day School Trust.  The school moved to Fulham in 1997 and is set in spacious grounds with netball and tennis courts and pond for environmental studies.  There are fantastic dedicated facilities for music, drama, IT, science, art and design.
