Job overview

The Green School Trust is seeking to appoint a dynamic, collaborative and innovative Head of Science to join The Green School for Boys.

The successful candidate will be an excellent practitioner and able to demonstrate the capacity to inspire students and staff. They will be responsible for ensuring high quality learning resulting in exceptional student progress in Science. They will play a significant role in contributing to the curricular and co-curricular life of the school and will be expected to be flexible and creative in their approach. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspirational individual who will be able to develop and shape the delivery of science from Key Stage 3 upwards, encouraging the boys to explore  the discrete sciences through our STEM specialism and develop their interest to study the sciences at A level and beyond. The ability to offer physics as a subject specialism would be an advantage.

The Green School for Boys  is part of The Green School Trust, a Church of England Multi Academy Trust which also runs the highly successful Green School for Girls. This is an exciting time to join the Trust and be part of the founding staff team as The Green School for Boys begins it second year in September 2018.

A full programme of support for all new staff is provided. CPD and the development of leadership skills is an important part of the school culture and candidates who wish to progress their careers are encouraged to apply. As a Church of England Trust we welcome applicants from all faiths or none but we do ask that applicants support the Christian ethos of our schools.
