We are seeking to appoint a Head of Science to lead a team of innovative and inspirational teachers who will inspire excitement and create a thirst for knowledge amongst our students at all key stages.

The department is highly resourced and provides outstanding curriculum provision in all key

stages. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and effective leader to join our dynamic and ambitious Science & Technology College which includes Professor Dave Hornby who is renowned for his academic research in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

We will be looking for you to enrich and enhance our progress from an immersive and exciting Key Stage 3 towards and explorative and strong Key Stage 4, improving on the increasing number of talented students who achieve a Grade 9 at GCSE level. 

Single Sciences are becoming increasingly popular amongst our students at Key Stage 4 and our Biology, Chemistry and Physics courses are all flourishing at A Level along with the introduction of Applied Science at Level 3.

How are staff supported?

All staff are supported in both their career progression and aspirations, from tailored CPD to coaching and mentoring programmes, and also with their wellbeing.

We have a dedicated wellbeing team and a number of mental health 1st aiders on site who can support and signpost staff to various organisations.

Our enhanced Employee Assistance Programme provides 8 sessions of online or face to face support for counselling and CBT for both you and your family members over 16.
