Knowledge Gate International School
Knowledge Gate International School (KGIS) is committed to offering a premium quality global education to both expatriate and local students in the Sultanate of Oman.  We are a non-selective co-educational, independent Nursery to Year 13 school.   We follow the Cambridge International Curriculum, which is based on the National Curriculum for England, with some adaptations to the local context.  In the Secondary Phase we offer IGCSE, A Level and Omani Bilingual Diploma pathways.  We are a truly international school, and our students and staff come from a variety of backgrounds.  We have a student population of 700 and our students are an absolute joy to teach.

Head of Science
We are in an exciting time of growth and development at KGIS and are seeking an outstanding, energetic, inspirational teacher who is passionate about their students.  Candidates must be team players and must be committed to achieving high levels of learning.

We are looking for reflective practitioners who have:

• Enhanced disclosure from the DBS or equivalent, and who are committed to the welfare of all children
• A degree and PGCE or B.Ed or the equivalent, with a minimum of three years post-qualification teaching experience.  The degree must be in the subject taught or a closely related subject
• Experience delivering GCSE and A Level
• Confidence with the use of ICT in teaching
• High expectations and aspirations for all students
• A commitment to the overall development of young people
• An open-minded approach to their work, are willing to learn and develop
• A demonstrable love for what they do and a proven track record

Previous teaching experience in a high-performing international school is an advantage.
