Franklin College is a thriving, successful sixth form college serving North East Lincolnshire and the surrounding rural and coastal area, with around 1,600 full-time 16-18 and 700 part-time adult students. In achieving this aim, we recognise the vital role of our staff. We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Head of Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering) with a proven track record of driving improvement in teaching, learning, assessment and student outcomes. The post is full time, from August 2017, or as soon as possible after that date. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to a range of subjects within the area. You will be leading an experienced, dynamic team with a strong tradition of innovative teaching and learning, and student support.
We would expect the successful candidate would become actively involved in our extensive enrichment programme and contribute to the broader life of the College. You should be appropriately qualified in your specialist subject area (usually to degree level). Salary for the post will be to a point within the range £39,412 - £45,228 per annum (Sixth Form College scale)
