Rupert House is a highly achieving successful IAPS day school, situated on the outskirts of Henley-on-Thames. We cater for boys aged 3-7 and girls aged 3-11. We have small classes, well-motivated pupils and supportive parents.
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Head of Science to teach Science at KS2. We are looking for someone who has:
- The ability to motivate and enthuse pupils
- A clear sense of purpose and high expectations
- A good Honours degree in a Science subject(s) (desirable)
- Experience in teaching Science to children in Key Stage 2
- Understanding of the demands of Common Entrance at 11+
- Experience in managing colleagues at departmental level (desirable)
- Competence and experience with the use of ICT in schools
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- The desire to work as part of a team
- A willingness to play a part in the extra-curricular life of the school
- Energy, stamina and a sense of humour
