About The School:
GEMS FirstPoint School is situated on The Villa community in Dubai. It is a Premium British Curriculum School currently providing an excellent standard of education for over 1700 students from FS1 to Year 13 students, with plans to grow to over 3500 in the coming years. The school has grown rapidly and continues to be popular with families from across Dubai with over 90 nationalities represented. We are housed in state of the art buildings with separate sports and performing arts centre, swimming pools, theatre, sports hall, drama and music rooms. Our main building contains specialist facilities, such as, a robotics and electronics lab, food technology kitchen, textiles and design suite, science labs and much more. About the Role
From September 2020 we are looking to appoint an outstanding Head of Science (with Physics) to join the School.

The successful applicant will hold a certified teaching qualification and have exceptional subject knowledge. You should be experienced in leading a high performing teaching team; we will also consider applicants currently in a Deputy Head of department role looking for the next step in their career.

Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level (or equivalent) is essential, alongside a proven track record of outstanding learning and teaching.

To be considered, you must hold a B.Ed. or degree and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent. The successful applicant will possess the willingness to commit to Extra Curricular activities also.
