Medway UTC is the provider of an exciting blend of education specialising in the Engineering & Construction industries, and is supported by an extensive network of employer organisations operating in these areas. Our students have proven to be responsible, mature and career driven individuals who want to succeed and are a pleasure to teach. Science is one of the subjects that underpins the STEM activities and careers aspirations of our students and is such a key department for our school.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Leader in Science with outstanding teaching experience and excellent outcomes. This is in a very well-resourced department in a specialist engineering setting. This post may be suitable for someone looking to have their first experience leading a department.

We are looking for someone who has the enthusiasm, energy, drive and experience to ensure that Medway UTC meets all our student needs and excels in the core subject of Science.

Candidates are encouraged to contact the school directly for an informal discussion and tour with the Principal before making an application. Please contact Jade Legge, EA to the Principal, on 01634 505800 or j.legge@medwayutc.co.uk to arrange a meeting.

Medway UTC first opened its doors in September 2015 for year 10 and year 12 students. Through employer partnerships, Medway UTC is a school that offers each student the opportunity of clear employment routes, whilst providing a strong traditional education. At Medway UTC, students are developed to be employable young professionals.

If you believe you have the required skills and experience to be part of the team driving forward the outcomes for young engineers, we want to hear from you. Please click on the 'Apply Now' button.

Waterfront UTC offers clear routes to employment through professional and technical pathways. It is the only exclusive 14-19 provider and is unique in its approach.

We offer focussed opportunities for every individual student. We have bespoke relationships with Industry and Higher Education. We have some of the region’s largest employers and the University of Greenwich, working with us on site at Waterfront UTC, signposting our students to success.

We are in the business of growing the next world class generation of engineers, entrepreneurs, business leaders and highly prized technical workers. We do this by offering students an experience that is not available in any other educational environment.

We are offering young people outstanding technical qualifications in Engineering, Construction and The Built Environment, alongside more traditional subjects.

The UTC originally opened in September 2015 as ‘Medway UTC’ but, since working with The Howard Academy Trust, the school has recently been re-launched as ‘Waterfront UTC’ to continue its ongoing development which is proving to be very successful. Through employer partnerships, Waterfront UTC is a school that offers each student the opportunity of clear employment routes, whilst providing a strong traditional education. At Waterfront UTC, students are developed to be employable young professionals.
