Mwanza is a port city on the southern shores of Lake Victoria in north-western Tanzania. With a population of over 700,000, it is Tanzania's second largest city, following Dar es Salaam. Mwanza is the capital of the surrounding Mwanza Region. Mwanza is 135 km (2 hour drive) from the Serengeti National Park. Mwanza is also just a short flight away from Dar es Salaam, Mount Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar.

The Post:

The Board and Senior Management Team of this happy, successful and over-subscribed International School in Mwanza, Tanzania are seeking to appoint an inspirational, energetic and positive individual who will lead us on our continuing journey. The Secondary Department delivers the Cambridge International Curriculum for IGCSE, AS and A-Level in Key Stages 4 and 5 and an adapted UK Curriculum for Key Stage 3.

This post will start in September 2016 or as soon after as is possible, in time for celebrating our 60th Diamond anniversary. Applications will be welcomed from both those currently holding senior leadership positions and those aspiring to move into senior leadership.

As Head of Secondary, using your experience and strategic thinking, you will lead and manage the Secondary Department, supported by a Deputy Head and Heads of Faculty.

This role will give the right individual an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our school, whilst upholding its distinct Christian character and close-knit community feel, so making a difference to the lives of many children.
