Hartland International School is seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate educator to join a committed senior team as Head of Secondary. The successful candidate will provide professional highly effective leadership and management for the Secondary phase as it grows and develops.

Located in the heart of Dubai, in a developing residential community, Hartland’s unique vantage point is the iconic landmark of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall and Downtown Business area of the city. The school will operate from Foundation Stage to Year 11 in the academic year 2020 and anticipates natural year on year growth in the secondary section in the coming years. We offer the National Curriculum for England and plan to offer GCSE’s / IGCSE’s, ‘A’ Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma. The school was recently awarded the Patrons Accreditation and Compliance Award from COBIS, The Challenge Award from NACE and is a member of BSME.
We seek to appoint an experienced and exceptional leader to join our growing school community as Head of Secondary School. You will have the highest expectations in relation to student outcomes and staff performance and will yourself be an inspirational, highly motivated and diligent leader. You will have the strategic capacity to contribute to the on-going development of the school whilst also being very much a team-player who can develop positive relationships with the whole of our international community.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior leadership position equivalent to a Deputy/Head of Secondary School
- hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
- hold a Masters’ Degree in Education,
- NPQH or equivalent qualification evidentiary of further professional development
- Have experience and an evidenced exceptional track record of leadership at senior level in an outstanding school environment and high performing school
- Have experience of the National Curriculum for England or IB whether that be in the UK or in an international setting
- Be committed to the Hartland Values
- excellent communication skills in both spoken and written form
