The British International School of Jeddah is a private community school licensed by the Ministry of Education. We are a not for profit organisation governed by a Board of Trustees. Our school caters for children from years K-13 and has in excess of 1600 students from over 60 countries. The Secondary Section has some 680 students from Y7 to Y13. The curriculum in Secondary leads to IGCSE examinations at the end of Year 11 and then the International Baccalaureate for Years 12 and 13.

The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and British Schools in the Middle East (BSME). Additionally we are authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and are a centre for Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

Working with Executive Leadership Team comprising the Director, Head of Primary and the Business Manager, the Head of Secondary will lead the development of the Secondary Section and will contribute to school-wide strategic planning. About The British International School of Jeddah

The British International School of Jeddah was established in 1977 and provides high quality international education to the expatriate and local community in Jeddah.

The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and British Schools in the Middle East. We are authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) and Cambridge International Examinations (CIE).

In total, the school has over 1300 students from over sixty countries. Teaching staff are mainly recruited from the United Kingdom, Australasia, North America and locally. The school resides on a pleasant, safe and secure campus with excellent facilities and resources.

The curriculum is designed to provide students with transferable skills and a love of learning.  There is strong support in the Primary School for the use of enquiry based learning through the development of integrated thematic units. These draw the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

In Years 10 and 11 the curriculum leads to the externally assessed examinations of the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), set by Cambridge International Examinations. Post 16 education is based on International Baccalaureate courses, with the majority of students taking the full Diploma course.
