The HELP International School invites you to join the executive leadership team of this progressive and forward-thinking community of learning. The school is at the forefront of innovative holistic education for 3 to 18-year-olds in Malaysia.


Now in its eleventh year of operation, it has enjoyed phenomenal growth with 1500 students on its roll; 900 of which are in the secondary school.


The successful candidate will be a high achieving middle or senior leader, with a strong track record of success and a desire to be part of our continued pursuit of excellence. Besides having well-developed interpersonal skills and sound organisational and pedagogical knowledge, the ideal successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong personal alignment with the school values and its use of the 10 Masteries.
  • A genuine track record of innovation in education; an agent of positive change and achievement.
  • Wide ranging experience or strong interest in new and emerging technologies, particularly in the spheres of science, coding skills, artificial intelligence, and machine learning in education.
  • Experience with Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) approaches
  • Deep understanding of assessment of learning (AoL) and assessment for learning (AfL) strategies, and associated approaches to using data to inform planning.
  • Experience in working in partnership with primary school colleagues to ensure a smooth and continuous learning journey for all students.
  • Visible presence in and around the school. 


The appointment commences from in August 2025. The remuneration package is competitive and includes housing, medical insurance, annual flights, education for dependent children and other benefits. 


An initial round of interviews will take place via Zoom. Shortlisted candidates will likely be invited to attend final interviews in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Founded in 2014, HIS is the fastest-growing private school in Malaysia and has received the 5-Star SKIPS (Malaysia Private Education Institution Quality System) rating from the Ministry of Education.

HIS started strongly with 500 students in its inaugural intake in January 2014. It now has a total population of 1,400 students of 25 nationalities.

The School was awarded the status of Apple Distinguished School in 2017 and again in 2019. It received IPC accreditation in 2018 with a Mastery in International Mindedness. It has been awarded the Eco-Schools Silver Award in July 2018. The School has recently been awarded associate member status with FOBISIA and has begun the process for full accreditation with the Council of International Schools (CIS). The school is a member of the Association of International Malaysian Schools (AIMS).

The Schools Curriculum

HIS uses the National Curriculum of England as the key guide for its programmes of study. The school offers Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes in the upper secondary years. For admissions, students applying for a place in the school are subjected to CAT4 assessment with an English proficiency test as a written component. The academic progression assessment is supported by year group CAT4 testing in Years 3, 6, and 9 and GL Progress Tests from Years 4 to 9.

HIS is also an inclusive school with a Special Education Needs offering: 10% capped seats in each year group to support students with special learning needs.
