About One World International School - Nanyang Campus

Welcome to One World International School and welcome to our One World community of over 70 nationalities and cultures.

At OWIS, we offer the IB Primary Years Programme, Cambridge IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. Our comprehensive and rigorous curricula are delivered to our students in an experiential and authentic manner. We encourage our students to be independent critical thinkers who are able to apply their understanding to solve practical problems and take positive action.

We recognise that the world is changing at a rapid pace and acknowledge that traditional approaches to education are not enough to prepare students for the world that they will graduate into in the future. That is why our programmes are inquiry based and provide opportunities for our students to be engaged by topics that ignite their curiosity. Through our facilitation and curation of their curiosity, we help them grow into lifelong learners.

As an IB World School, we are committed to fostering a safe, kind and caring environment for our school community. We are proud of our diverse community with more than 70 countries represented in our student body. This diversity supports our students in becoming international minded global citizens and helps them to develop effective communication and collaboration skills, which are grounded in empathy and understanding.

The Mission

At One World International School, our mission is to develop inquiring, compassionate, reflective lifelong learners who respect all cultures and care for our world. We believe every child should have equitable access to best-in-class future-proofed education.

Every day at OWIS, we take heart in the exemplary behaviour of our students, which shows our progress in this mission. We praise the way our youngest learners help their teachers with small acts of kindness or in their excitement when they learn something new within classrooms and outdoors. We applaud our primary students as they collaborate with each other in our inquiry-based approach to push the boundaries of their personal knowledge and skills. We feel immensely proud of our secondary cohort when they show maturity of character for in-depth studies and understand the importance of balancing academics and personal pursuits and giving back to society.

Academic results, while immensely important, are just one part of the big picture. Fostering a strong value system in our students that will hold them in good stead for the rest of their lives requires as much attention. All our experienced and passionate teachers focus on both these aspects at OWIS.
