Students follow the English National Curriculum from the Early Years Foundation Stage through to Year 11. Students in Years 12 and 13 follow the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or the newly introduced BTEC Business Programme.

We’re proud to be the only Abu Dhabi International School that has achieved an Outstanding rating in the past year for both the ADEK (Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge) Inspection as well as the recent National Identity Mark Inspection. Only 11 out of 197 Abu Dhabi based International schools have been awarded an outstanding rating by ADEK. Furthermore, BIS Abu Dhabi was the only international school awarded Outstanding at the National Identity Inspection where schools were inspected along the strands of culture (Arabic language, History and Heritage), values (Respect, Compassion, Global understanding, and citizenship (Belonging, Volunteering, Conservation).

Personalised learning experiences nurture our students’ growth, while unique opportunities – including collaborations with MIT, UNICEF, and The Juilliard School – cultivate creativity and critical thinking. Our recently opened Arts Centre with 524-seat auditorium will enable the gifts of our students to shine, whether they lie in art, music or performance.
