Norfolk Community Learning Services provides a broad programme of learning opportunities to the residents and businesses of Norfolk and its borders. We are looking for a highly talented individual to shape and lead the strategic development, and operational delivery, of adult learning in Norfolk to meet both existing and emerging needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to promote the importance of adult learning, engage new learners from all parts of the community and increase participation. You will provide expertise in FE strategic leadership for the authority, balance local, regional and national government priorities, drive performance improvement and maximise funding opportunities, both through external and internal collaboration.

You will lead and manage the adult learning strategic plan in conjunction with NCC, the New Anglia LEP, Ofsted and central government priorities. You will ensure effective systems are in place to review and evaluate the quality of the service and teaching and learning standards. As professional lead for the service, you will ensure robust financial controls are in place and a culture of continuous improvement within the service exists. As a senior manager within the Local Authority, you will contribute to the development of County Council’s corporate strategies, objectives and policies.

Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have significant experience of leading and managing a large educational operation at senior level. You will evidence managing complex priorities, have negotiated effectively with external stakeholders and funding bodies, and will have managed budgets to achieve strategic goals. You will have the ability to lead and implement successful change outcomes whilst maintaining high levels of staff morale.

This is a great opportunity for an individual with the passion to drive forward service innovation and promote adult learning for Norfolk.
