We are looking for an inspirational enthusiastic leader to continue to drive the ongoing success of our Sixth Form, who will strive to ensure that students achieve their academic potential, develop their character and well-being and to help them launch as young adults who make the world a better place.  The post offers excellent opportunities to an outstanding teacher whose strong values are matched by administrative ability, leadership skills and professional ambition.  We welcome applicants with leadership experience gained from teaching and learning, pastoral, subject or raising achievement leadership roles.

As an associate member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be proactive in promoting the College aims and supporting an ethos that promotes achievement and high standards

Sir Harry Smith Community College is an 11-18 Academy, proud of its traditional values and innovative approaches to Teaching and Learning and its standards of discipline and respect.  The College serves the market town of Whittlesey, seven miles outside of Peterborough in Cambridgeshire.  

The College is part of the Aspire Learning Trust working together with Park Lane and New Road Primary Schools, also in Whittlesey, to help every child achieve their full potential, to prepare them for their next educational steps, to teach them kindness and respect for all and to equip them to play a full satisfying role in society.

Sir Harry Smith Community College is a mixed academy secondary school and Sixth Form for students aged 11-18.

The school was opened in 1953 on the site of Whittlesey Workhouse and is named after the Army General Sir Harry Smith who was born nearby.  The school converted to academy status in 2012 and is part of the Aspire Learning Trust along with local primary schools, Park Lane and New Road.
