The City of Wolverhampton has an ambitious vision to be a city which celebrates enterprise, education and skills. We want to be known nationally and internationally for our skilled and productive workforce, particularly in sectors such as high value manufacturing and construction. Key to this success will be ensuring that our young people achieve their full potential.
To help us achieve our goals, we are currently seeking a new Head of Special Educational Needs Service to join our Senior Management Team, reporting to the Assistant Director Schools Standards. We are a dynamic organisation which has undergone huge change and transformation. We have been recognised nationally, and have won several prestigious awards this year from the MJ including, Local Authority of the Year and Most Improved Council.
The successful candidate will provide the vision, leadership and direction to deliver aspirational outcomes for the City of Wolverhampton and its most vulnerable learners. With an education background, you will be responsible for leading and implementing a major change programme to improve service delivery and better outcomes for children and young people with SEN & D.
This is an exciting time to join an awarding winning authority, with a strong education team, where education standards are improving year on year, there is major investment in the city and we are transforming the way we work.
