The Elms, established in 1999 as the Junior School to Trent College (co-educational HMC School), is a thriving independent school located in Long Eaton and has grown to its present size of around 440, including children in the Pre-School and Nursery.
This is an exciting opportunity for a current PE teacher to work with pupils aged 4-11 to enhance their leadership skills, coaching skills and motivational ability – as well as pursuing their own interest in sport.
We are seeking an individual to lead our thriving Sports Department, which offers a wide variety of sporting opportunities. The role would entail teaching classes and groups aged between 4-11 in their sports lessons, as well as responsibility for co-ordinating fixtures against other schools for both boys and girls. The appointed candidate will be expected to contribute fully to the extensive extra-curricular programme during and after school.
Other responsibilities would include identifying the staffing needed throughout the school for the teaching of sport, liaising with the administrator in respect of ensuring the school calendar is up to date and parents / school leadership is given accurate and timely information and implement all school policies and procedures.
If you have any queries about the role, or would like to discuss it in more detail, please contact Mrs Lorraine Broughton, the Head’s PA on 0115 983 7001.
