Dynamic Head of Sport required

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Head of Sport to join the team at Upton House School to teach PE and coach games throughout the school. This is an exciting time for sport at Upton House, we have our first IAPS netball and hockey tournaments in the Spring and are looking for an inspirational Head of Sport with drive and vision to join our wonderful team. This opportunity will be suited to an individual who can ensure our pupils get the maximum possible opportunity to display their talents in extra-curricular provision and competitive sport.

The successful candidate will:

• have the ability to lead, inspire and develop colleagues and pupils 

• have high expectations of themselves, colleagues and pupils 

• increase competitive sport with other schools and encourage and support participation in external sporting opportunities

• good knowledge of sport including: netball, hockey, rugby, football, swimming and rowing.

• be proactive and positive.

Upton House is an inspiring learning environment and highly regarded with a strong tradition and values, but constantly forward thinking. Recent ISI Inspections have given excellent ratings to all aspects of the school, its leadership and governance.

The successful candidate must have at least two years post qualification experience.

Upton House School is a independent co-educational preparatory school in Windsor, Berkshire. The school was first opened in 1936, and is located on a one acre site in the centre of Windsor. In 2008 the two-storey facility Little Upton was opened, containing pre-nursery and nursery rooms with access to an outdoor play area. There are approximately 295 students on the school roll. Upton House is denominationally Christian, and is a registered charity.
