Job overview
“In North Lincolnshire, children and young people matter.” Ofsted 2017
With our current post holder retiring at the end of this academic year, we are seeking a talented and dynamic individual to join us on the next phase of our adventure in improving education and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people. Able to start in September, an earlier start may be possible to work alongside the existing post holder – sustaining the considerable momentum we have built for improving the quality of education at all ages.
North Lincolnshire Council values learning and is incredibly proud of the contribution that our Early Years settings, schools and colleges make to the lives of children and young people. How we work as an education community continues to evolve and we require a leader who builds purposeful relationships within a complex environment, who has strong and intuitive professional judgement and the ability to drive system-wide transformation. As well as ensuring the best opportunities for ‘all our children’, you will also play a strong role in realising the corporate ambition of the Council.
While you will have a strong record of professional achievement as a senior leader in education, inspection or local authority, you do not need to be the finished article as North Lincolnshire recruits foremost on values, beliefs and potential. For an informal discussion on this challenging and exciting role, please contact Pete Thorpe, Director of Learning, Skills & Culture on 01724 29 6797.
Closing Date: 20th April 2018
