SEPTEMBER 2020 START

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to lead the primary phase at Fulneck School following the current Head’s appointment to Richmond House School in Leeds. You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting the Principal in implementing the new 5 Year Strategy, with significant autonomy in developing the 3-11 primary phase.

Fulneck School is a unique environment and we are looking for a very special person to lead the Junior School in the next phase of its development. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced practitioner from the independent, academy or maintained sectors who has the ambition, drive and know-how to give our pupils the very best start in life.

Founded in 1753, Fulneck School is one of the leading co-educational day and boarding schools in Yorkshire.  Set in beautiful Yorkshire countryside, we are just 5 miles from the thriving Leeds city centre and close to the attractive west and north suburbs of Leeds.

We attract pupils from across the West Riding of Yorkshire as well as boarders from around the world. Pupil numbers in the whole School rose by 8% in September 2019. Our 3-11 phase currently educates 120 children.

Fulneck School is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 3-18.  We are situated in a traditional English village just 5 miles from Leeds city centre. With easy access by air, rail and road, yet set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, Fulneck School is an ideal choice for parents looking for a day or boarding school for their children.

We pride ourselves on setting high expectations for every individual, instilling good manners and fostering an ethic of hard work. Our community is enriched by the cultural diversity of our pupil body, with day pupils coming to us from across Yorkshire and boarders from all over the world. Pupils experience outstanding opportunities inside and outside the classroom, learning how to work in a team and how to provide the leadership that our society needs.

We are a small school and therefore offer a more personalised education than many other schools. This website can only give a flavour of what Fulneck School has to offer. Please do come and visit – you will always be made welcome at Fulneck School.
