Head of The Mary Erskine School Senior School, Edinburgh

Closing date:

ESMS - The Mary Erskine SchoolEdinburgh

Date posted:
Contract type: Full Time
Salary: Undisclosed
Contract term: Permanent
Suitable for NQTs: No

Following the appointment of Mrs Linda Moule to the position of Principal of the Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools, we require a Head of The Mary Erskine School Senior School from August 2018.

This is an unusually responsible role.  The Mary Erskine School and Stewart’s Melville College are ‘twinned’ in a unique arrangement involving a shared Junior School of 1200 boys and girls and administered by the same Governing Council and Principal.  The Head of The Mary Erskine School Senior School works closely with the Principal and is directly responsible to her for the day-to-day management of the school.  This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced and ambitious leader to exercise management skills in an extremely challenging post.  Applicants should be registered, or eligible for registration, with the GTC Scotland.  Salary will be commensurate with responsibilities and experience.

A letter of application, addressed to the Principal, enclosing a full Curriculum Vitae and the names and contact details of three referees, should be sent by email to recruitment@esms.org.uk or by post to the HR Administrator, Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools, Ravelston, Edinburgh EH4 3NT, from whom further particulars may be obtained.  This information can also be found on our website.

The closing date is 12 noon on Friday 17 November 2017.
