This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and motivated Year Leader in the Sixth Form who can teach in the Business Studies department to join our successful Sixth Form team. The ability to teach Enterprise and Economics is also welcomed. The Sixth Form consistently performs in the top 10% of providers (according to ALPs) and student voice feedback tells us that our students enjoy their time here. Business Studies and Economics are popular and successful subject areas at KS5. Business and Enterprise both recruit well at KS4.
We are a large thriving oversubscribed 11-18 Comprehensive School situated in beautiful surroundings close to the New Forest and the Hampshire / Dorset coastline. Ringwood School is an 11 –18, heavily oversubscribed, popular comprehensive school set in the market town of Ringwood in Hampshire. We are a large and vibrant secondary school of 1550 students and just over 200 staff. The school became an Academy in April 2011 and gained National Teaching School status in July 2011. As a Teaching School we take a very active part in teacher training and undertake outreach work to support other schools locally. Our last Ofsted inspection was March 2017 and we are currently an Ofsted ‘good’ school.
The historic market town of Ringwood is a lively community situated close to the New Forest National Park; the Dorset World Heritage Coastline and the beaches surrounding Bournemouth. Our students come from Ringwood (we are the only secondary school in the town), from East Dorset and from the surrounding villages of the New Forest.
