Salary: Band 3 - £26,520 - £28,305 per annum (Full Time Equivalent) DoE

                                      £24,533 - £26,185 per annum (Actual salary)


Contract: Permanent – Full Time, Term Time (including INSET) plus 3 weeks

Salford City Academy is a medium sized comprehensive Academy that lies in the heart of its community, we are very proud of our collective achievements.  Everyone feels proud that we are improving the life chances of all our students.

 The Academy is based in Eccles, Manchester, just off Junction 11 of the M60 – Manchester’s ring road. It serves a predominantly white working class population and the proportion of students eligible for student premium funding is above national average. The proportion of students with special educational needs is in line with national average.

We are a rapidly improving Academy and we are part of the United Learning Multi-Academy trust. In August 2019, our students achieved the best ever GCSE results, attendance was above national standards, behaviour improved and we had introduced our ‘Aspire Curriculum’.  Our staff are ambitious for all students, they work hard and strive to provide a wide range of extra-curricular and career opportunities for our students. The leadership team are supportive, dynamic and have led staff and students effectively to create a positive inspiring learning culture.

 Within SCA, we embrace collaborative partnerships with all schools within United learning, and we are excited to be part of the ‘Salford Cluster’ which incorporates 3 other secondary Academies and 2 primary schools.  In September 2015 the Academy was judged as a ‘Good’ school. Ofsted reported that:

Students’ behaviour and attitude to learning is good. The academy provides well-structured care and support and is exemplary in its approach to keeping students safe.

The Academy equips students to be thoughtful, caring and active citizens in the Academy and wider society. Strong spiritual, moral and cultural development permeates through the Academy.

The Academy safeguarding procedures are exemplary.

The use of secure and shrewd student targets is distilled and displayed across the Academy.

What we are looking for:

Salford City Academy are seeking to appoint an outstanding Inclusion Leader to support and promote positive student attitudes to learning, providing a complementary service to existing teachers and support staff. The successful candidate will have the ability to work flexibly in a team situation whilst being able to prioritise, show initiative and work independently, ensuring key routine tasks are achieved within deadlines. The academy is a positive environment where no 2 days will be the same, the right candidate will adapt to the demands of each day and display a proactive attitude always looking to be proactive.
