Al Rabeeh School is seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and committed Head of Year for September 2021. This important and exciting post requires an enthusiastic and outstanding teacher who will have high expectations of themselves, their students and a commitment to the overall development of young people.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
• lead, develop and inspire a team of teachers and support staff
• understand the needs of a diverse range of students
• raise aspirations and achievement for all through high quality pastoral care
• instill the highest standards of behaviour and attendance.
In addition to:
• Excellent knowledge of the English National Curriculum
• Experience of using data systems for school improvement, student tracking, intervention, target setting, assessment, recording and reporting.
• A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life
• A strong focus on pastoral care and a willingness to go the extra mile so as to get the best from the child.
• Commitment to whole school initiatives and the school improvement cycle
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise
• Experience of teaching EAL students is desirable
