Job overview

The Albion Academy is one of the most rapidly improving schools in Salford with a supportive and communal staff. It is part of a cluster of four United Learning schools in Salford. We are looking to recruit 5 non-teaching Heads of Year to support students and families in their learning. You will be able promote and mentor positive attitudes to learning in our students, providing a complementary service to existing teachers and support staff. You will need to work with staff at the school to help address the needs of the students who require extra support to overcome barriers to their learning and achievement. You will be key in promoting high standards of attendance, academic progress and behaviour for learning in your year group at the Academy. You will have a fundamental desire to improve outcomes for students. Your duties will be wide and varying, no day is ever the same but you will see the difference you can make to the daily experience of our students. You must possess good communication skills, show empathy and understanding, have ICT knowledge and be able to work on your own initiative.
