Job overview

We are looking to appoint a Head of Year to monitor, track and support all students in their year group in order to contribute to raising achievement, attendance and behaviour for students at Buile Hill Academy.

You will provide pastoral care for students and be the first port of call for parents/carers. As a Head of Year you will work closely with Attendance and Behaviour Leads to coordinate interventions for students and tracking progress. You will lead a team of Form Tutors in encouraging pupil’s academic, emotional and social well-being. 

The successful candidate should be supportive of the ethos and values of the school and have the ability to encourage and motivate our students. We are looking for someone with a sense of humour, who understands the importance of developing a positive culture in our organisation.

Buile Hill Academy is an 11 – 16, co-educational, fully comprehensive community school, serving the inner city community of Salford.
