Head School Librarian 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to the post of Head School Librarian with effect from August 2016. The Head School Librarian is responsible for the day-to-day operation, organisation and management of the Primary and Secondary School Libraries. In addition, the Head School Librarian will supervise four full-time Library Assistants. The total collection in both libraries includes approximately 75,000 volumes plus print and digital subscriptions. Applicants must be qualified librarians with at least three years of experience in a school setting.

Suitable candidates will:

• have certification as a School Librarian or a librarian qualification
• have thorough knowledge of all aspects of library operations (administration, cataloguing and collection management, reference and instruction)
• have excellent attention to detail and understanding accuracy in library functions
• have excellent interpersonal skills (speaking, listening, collaborating, advocating);
• be able to work with the integrated library software (OLIVER)
• be able to demonstrate significant technology, leadership and management skills

Knowledge and experience of the IPC, IGCSE and IBDP would be an advantage.
