Stockport Grammar School - Appointment of Head
The Chairman and Governors invite applications for the post of Head, in succession to Andrew Chicken, following thirteen years of outstanding service to the School.
Stockport Grammar School was founded towards the end of the fifteenth century by Sir Edmond Shaa, which makes it one of the oldest independent schools in the country. Located in the centre of a popular and diverse Greater Manchester borough, there is a Junior School on the same site. In the Senior School there are 1030 girls and boys with a strong emphasis on both academic study and extra-curricular involvement.
The School offers a family focussed, community ethos in which each individual is well known and valued.
The Governors are pleased to invite applications from candidates who believe they will demonstrate a fit with the community as well as making a significant contribution to the future direction of the School and to work with a committed staff and governing body.
