An exciting opportunity to lead one of the South London’s leading schools.
The Board of Governors seeks an outstanding candidate who will help shape the strategic direction of this busy and dynamic day school which is currently ranked 4th in The Times list of Top 100 Independent Prep Schools.
Founded in 1930, Seaton House is located in a leafy south London suburb, with 160 pupils on roll.
The post is for September 2019.
The Board of Governors are looking to appoint a Head who will:
- be an outstanding and ambitious school leader, committed to success and moving the school forward;
- have personal integrity, effective intelligence when making decisions and the ability to manage, lead and motivate a community of professional staff;
- have a keen and knowledgeable awareness of contemporary educational issues, and a natural flair for communication, PR and networking.
- be confident in having an oversight of financial affairs and innovative with best use of resources for pupil benefits

About Seaton House School
Seaton House School provides children with an excellent start to their learning journey and girls consistently gain both academic and scholarship success at both grammar and local independent schools. Seaton House has consistently been ranked in the Top 5 Prep Schools in the Sunday Times list and was ‘Prep School of the Year’ in 2018-19. ISI in its Educational Quality report judged our school to be ‘Excellent in All Areas”.
Our Early Years setting accept boys and girls from 2.5 years of age. Main school is for girls only.
Our small class sizes ensure that every pupil is known as an individual and are supported to make the most of their gifts and talents. Alongside excellent academic teaching, pupils have opportunities to develop artistic, musical, dramatic and sporting talents. There are specialist teachers for almost all subjects to ensure that the pupils receive the very best tuition in every area of the curriculum.
