Heathryburn Primary is a co-educational, non-denominational school, which opened in 2009. The state of the art campus has many modern facilities, including a purpose-built games hall, Astroturf pitch, outdoor teaching areas, extensive grounds and a purpose built nursery with secure outdoor play area.
The Senior Leadership Team includes a Head Teacher and 2.0fte Depute Head Teachers. The current school roll is 276 with an 80 place nursery. There are 12 primary classes, 4 nursery classes; and an Enhanced Provision classroom and a Nurture Room.
The school is in the Northfield area of Aberdeen, in an area of predominantly local authority housing, situated approximately 5 miles from city centre.
Heathryburn School aims to provide a stimulating learning environment meeting the needs of all children and encouraging each child to reach their full potential. Wider achievement and increased attainment are encouraged at Heathryburn School.
