This is an exciting opportunity offered by Ruskin Mill Trust for an experienced, self-motivated leader with the desire to set up a new school and Children’s Home.
This is a 52-week role with 33 days’ holiday rising to 38 days after 5 years of service. Relocation expenses will be considered.
The Headteacher will open, lead and develop the new school as a contemporary Rudolf Steiner school for children and young people with Autism and complex learning needs. This unique opportunity will require the Headteacher to develop the curriculum from a sustainable, biodynamic garden, of which many of the learning opportunities will be drawn from the Rudolf Steiner curriculum and national curriculum, in accordance with statutory and Ofsted requirements and the vision, and method of Ruskin Mill Trust.

In addition, you must have an up to date knowledge of the legislative frameworks which impact on this 24-hour provision; be adaptable, highly flexible and show initiative with high levels of emotional intelligence and personal resilience.
In return we offer significant personal development opportunities to work within a holistic organisation that is complex and growing on a national scale, the satisfaction to significantly improve the lives of young people and their families.
Only those with an outstanding commitment to excellence should apply.
